  I went there last night with my wife hoping to experience a bit of the south (South Carolina) that we just left. I ordered the shrimp and grits and my wife ordered the fried chicken with mashed sweet potatoes. I was not impressed with the grits! When one thinks of grits you think comfort food and large helpings. The grits came out in a half bowl/half plate dish with a miserly portion that didn't even cover the bottom of the plate! The flavor was great however, the grits were severely undercooked! It was akin to eating half cooked rice! The dish was to be served with succotash and collard greens. These were tasty but honestly seemed more like a garnish. I was definitely expecting a side of greens not a sprinkling to add color and for the price I was just expecting a bit more. My wife's meal was delicious! The portions were appropriate without being too big, the flavors played together well, (we especially loved the honey with a touch of spice) and everything was moist and well seasoned. Our server was Paul, and throughout the night our service was flawless. Polite, engaging, prompt, and enjoyable. The building decor was nice and the overall ambience was great. The music selection was great, if a bit too loud for conversation! We will be returning, but hope that some of the kinks will be worked out, and are looking forward to a hopefully rotating menu of southern specialties.
